Joan Rule

Joan  Rule, 96, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus.  She was born September 19, 1924, in Delphi, to the late Charles and Floss (Stewart) Sieber.   Joan graduated from Delphi High School in 1942.  On April 2, 1944, she married Wayne E. Rule in Delphi and he preceded her in death on Janaury 19, 2017.  She was a member of Central Presyterian Church, Tri Kappa and John Purdue Club.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling in the US, Purdue sports and playing bridge in her bridge club.

Surviving are her Son Michael W. (wife Cheryl) Rule of West Lafayette, grandchildren Brian Kelsey, Nicole Buskill, Scott Kelsey, Jason and David Rule, great grandchildren Peyton, Emma, Adien Kelsey, Owen and Lillian Buskill and a son-in-law Damon Kelsey. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter Janice M. Kelsey, granddaughter Allison Rule, siblings Mary Catherine Sieber, Margaret Bowker, Helen Akers, John Sieber, Charlene Porter, Delores Thomson, Joyce Goslee and Bill Sieber.  A private service will be held with entombment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made Alzheimer’s Association or Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in Joan’s memory.
