Jeff E. Lee, 48, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at IU Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born March 31, 1972, in Lafayette, to the late Glenn and Joyce (Kennedy) Lee.

Jeff owned and operated JL Builders in Lafayette.

He was a member of Lafayette Country Club, and Lafayette Builders Association.

Jeff enjoyed vacations on the beach, playing golf and boating. He also enjoyed traveling on the road with the Purdue Basketball team, and he loved being able to sit behind the team bench. Jeff was the most hardworking, caring man you would have ever met. Jeff also enjoyed spending time walking with his daughter at wainwright every day to get his exercise. He took so much pride in his family, his daughter being his main motivation.

Surviving is his fiancée, Tammy Minardo, a daughter, Kaitlyn Lee of Lafayette, stepchildren, T.J. (Nikita) Minardo and Krista Minardo both of Lafayette, his brother, Dave Lee and his family of West Lafayette, an uncle, Ed Kennedy of Lafayette, and an aunt, Joan (Vern) Miller of West Point.  Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Following COVID restrictions face mask and social distancing will be required.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 20, 2020 also at Soller- Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, with Pastor Robby Bradford officiating. A live stream of the service will be available on his obituary page at www.soller-baker.com. Interment will follow at West Point Cemetery next to his parents.

Those wishing may contribute in Jeff’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.

We were truly saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. He was such an incredibly amazing man. We met him as the builder of our first custom home, and it wasn't long before we learned what Jeff was all about: he took extreme pride in his work, he loved his daughter and Tammy deeply, and he loved the Purdue basketball team endlessly! He was just so much fun to be around, his conversations were always so animated, and he was just such an honest guy. We will truly miss seeing him driving around the neighborhood with his phone in hand. Rest in peace, Jeff. Prayers to his family.

Jeff was an amazing guy! He built 2 of my homes and finished my basement. After meeting him I didn’t want any other builder. He had a way with words you could say! Always gave me a good laugh when I would see him. So sad he is gone, he will truly be missed. Rest In Peace. Prayers to his family.
