Janice E. Kruger

Janice E. Kruger, 61, of Lafayette, died at 8:09 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Central.
Born Aug. 21, 1948, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Betty J. Turner Lucas of Lafayette and the late Manuel E. Lucas. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1966.
On Aug. 29, 1969, she married Jerry J. Kruger, and he survives.
Mrs. Kruger was a member of Connexion Christian Ministries and enjoyed sending cards to family and friends.
Surviving with her husband and mother are a son, Troy Kruger (wife: Brandy) of Lafayette; and two brothers, Jerry Lucas (wife: Maureen) of Atlanta and Brad Lucas (wife: Linda) of Hope.
Also surviving is a grandson.
There will be a memorial service at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Hope International Ministry (previously Linnwood Church of Christ) 1508 N. 16th St., Lafayette, IN, with Pastor Jason Height officiating.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Janice. Our joy is knowing she lived her life to one day meet her Savior. He has "prepared her mansion" & now she waits for you to join her.
I have good memories from my growing up years of her ready smile and laugh. She was such a pleasant person. And I know she was a blessing to the little ones she taught & cared for.
Troy, your mom sure was proud of you and was happy to keep us posted in all your activities... you were well loved!
