To the family of Janice Yoeman. I was so sorry to read in the Journal that Janice had died. I knew Janice in High School as Darlene Norris, then we re-connected at Ivy Tech many years later, I considered it a real privilage to work with her.
I left Ivy Tech in 1986 to move to Wisconsin and become a part of Madison Area Technical College, however, there are those that you always miss and Janice was one of those individuals. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Janice was a great person and she is in a better place!

God Bless tyou all!

I am saddened to hear of your loss. I became aquainted with Darlene when we attended Sunday School class together in Wildersville, Tennessee. I remember Darlene fondly...such a sweet, gracious soul...she was easy to love. I considered her a friend from the first time I met her and only wish I had been able to know her longer. I know from hearing Darlene speak about her life that she most assuredly left a beautiful legacy to the many people whose lives she touched. She cared deeply about others, especially her family and talked about her family members often (both near and far). I know she will be missed dearly but you can rest assured she is content with Jesus now. I am praying that God comforts and strengthens you and that He will provide what you need to get through this difficult time.

May God bless you,

Dear Julie and family,

We are saddened to learn of the loss of Ms. Darlene. She was such a shining part of our church family. She was a soft spoken lady. She always had a smile on her face when we would talk to her. Sometimes we just take someone for granted. I guess I thought she would be at church forever. I will miss her radiant beauty!! She sat behind us during the morning worship service. She had to put up with my husband Ronnie&s big head. He was always afraid he was in her way and she couldn&t see Bro. Rodney. She never complained!! Hold onto the fond memories that I know that you have of her. I know she is in heaven and is dancing with the angels now....no more walker!! We are praying for you!!

Love in Christ,
Ronnie, Angie & Rocky Scott

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Darlene through Brady Lane Church. She was such a Wonderful woman. What I remember the most is when I had my son 18 years ago, I kept my pregnancy underwraps cause I was single at the time. After I had my son Darlene got everyone together to give me a Beautiful baby shower. She touch my heart so much. She will always have a special place in my heart. She was one of GODS angels and now she is up there to watch over all of you. You and your family are in my prayers. I just had back surgery this wed. So i will be unable to attend. GODS love to all you.

Darlene was a dear and I enjoyed taking her home from church on Sundays, we always had such great conversations on the way home. My prayers are with the family and I know she is looking down on all of you now. She had told me not too long ago, when she started having the trouble with her hearing, she knew when she got HOME that she would have perfect eyes & hearing again, and we laughed and talked about how nice that was going to be.

We loved Darlene dearly, we will miss her. Our prayers for you, are that God will comfort & bless you all. We all enjoyed so much when Darlene would read in class, because when she first came, she could not see well enough to read until after her surgery. We all send our love.
