I was sorry to read of Jamie's passing. I had the privilege of meeting her in the 90's when I chaired the annual fundraiser walk for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of IN. I was very impressed with her zeal for life and positive mental attitude, even while managing the challenges of CF. I pray for God's encouragement as you process the loss of Jamie's young life. I am so very sorry for your loss. Jamie was an amazing young woman. I filled lots of prescriptions for her when I was the pharmacist Denny's In Otterbein and I was always in awe of how she and Bobbie handled her illness. We became reacquainted a few years ago when I saw a post on Facebook of her at Christmas with Joe Banks. Joe is the son of my second cousin Karen Banks Easterday, who told me how much they loved Jamie. I pray for your comfort and peace. I'm sure Bobbie has welcomed her to Heaven with open arms.

I was a member of Jamie's IVoW cohort, and looked up to her as a sort of kickass older sister who was unafraid and nerdy about everything, including her lung transplant surgery (best. photos. ever.) As a younger person who grew up disabled (and discovered more medical conditions as I went along), Jamie's example has been a great light to have in my life, and I thank her fiercely and hope to carry the things she's taught me for a long, long time.

Jamie was a special person. She was a student of mine in seventh grade science. My greatest remembrance of Jamie was during the Eighth grade DC trip. There were a few activities that she could not participate in like going up in the Washington Monument. During those times I would sit with her. and we would talk and joke together. It was a special time for me. Ted Leuenberger
