Jamie Lyn Richey, 56, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at IU Health Arnett Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

She was born December 10, 1964, in Lafayette, and graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1982 and Rudae’s Beauty College.

Jamie worked in building services at Purdue University.

Jamie dearly loved “her boy” Dalton and cherished her nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed any & all ocean side vacations with family & friends and will be missed by all.

Surviving is a son, Dalton Richey of Lafayette, her mother, Karen Douglas May (husband George) of Lafayette, two sisters, Vickie Hockema of Shadeland and Beth Ann Morris of Longmont, CO. as well as a brother, Robert Sebrey (wife Jacqueline) of Wilmington, DE.

Jamie was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Sebrey, a stepbrother and two stepsisters.

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909.

My name is Matt McClain and I did unlocks on Sunday at Purdue. Jamie and I worked together on Sunday for few years and we became friends as well. Jamie had my back for emergency calls and we covered for each other when the other was off.work. I am going to miss Jamie. It pains me to know I will never speak with her again. My condolences to her family and may she find peace with god.
