James Edwin Napier II, 43 James Edwin “Rusty” Napier II, 43, of West Lafayette, died at 8:58 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Central. He was born December 10, 1969, in Lafayette, to James and Janice Liphard Napier. He graduated from Harrison High School where he played football. Rusty was an Assistant Manager and corporate trainer for Applebee's Restaurants for 15 years. Rusty enjoyed sports, a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Purdue University Sports and Dallas Cowboys football. Growing up he was involve in the summer sports at East Tipp Recreation. Surviving are step-mother, Cheryl Wurtsbaugh-Napier, Attica; step-mother, Dianne Terrell, Lafayette; sister, Melissa Martin (husband: Michel), of DelValle, Texas; step-sister, Lisa King (husband: Pat), Indianpolis and Becky Hardebeck, Fowler; step-brother, Steve Wurtsbaugh, of Attica; niece, Victoria Martin, Del Valle, Texas; nephew, Alexander Martin, of Del Valle, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 2, 2013, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral Service Tuesday 11 a.m. at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. the Rev. Dr. Jacob H. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Preceded in death by Father, James Napier in April 30, 2012; grandparents, Edwin O. and Jeanette R. Napier; uncle and aunt, Herb and Irene Anderson; step-sister, Julie Beckley. Those wishing may contribute to the charity of choice.
