I&m sorry that I couldn&t make it to the mass or the viewing for your husband. Be assurred, though, that you have been very much in my thoughts and prayers. I can see that Jim was just as service oriented as you are, so the Savior must love him very much. I suspect that Jim is experiencing a joyful time now, for which one must be glad through the sadness.
May you feel the love of all around you and comfort through you faith.
Fondly, Joan Low
May God&s love be with you and your family, May His love be soothing, May His words bring you strength, May His promise fill your heart with His peace.
John 14:18 I will not leave your comfortless: I will come to you
God bless you and keep you is my prayer.
Jim was our classmate from the class of 1964 at Southwood High School. I (Cheryl) began working for SSA in 1966. We lived in Wausau, WI for about 10 years and Jim was the manager of the office there. When he arrived at the office, he told the staff that he did not remember much about me except that I was editor of the school newspaper. He had written an article about how horrible the school lunches were and I published the article. I took a lot of heat but he was right -- the lunches were pretty bad!!! We always got a good laugh out of that story. It is a small world.
Jim was always a quiet man but he was very smart and always took the time to listen to you and make the office a better place to work. The employees loved him because he never forgot where he came from. He was a great manager and every time I talk to the people in the Wausau office they still remember Jim and ask about him. He replaced a manager that had been there for decades and was liked by everyone. Jim came with a sense of calm and everyone felt very comfortable with him at once.
Jim always talked about his children and got a big smile on his face when he told stories about them. He loved you very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
