James Bradley “Brad” Stivers, 47, of Lafayette passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born July 28, 1970 in Lafayette. He graduated from West Lafayette High School and attended Vincennes University. He married the love of his life, Teresa Ann (Balke) Stivers on June 18, 1994 in Lafayette. Brad worked in construction as a hod carrier for the local Laborers Union.
Brad enjoyed fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed watching Purdue sports, the Green Bay Packers, and the Chicago Cubs. Above all, Brad cherished time with his wife and daughters.
Along with his wife, Teresa, he is survived by 2 daughters, Brooke (Brandon) and Keri; his father, Donald L. (Becky) Stivers Sr. of Lafayette and his mother, Jenny Eberle (Bill) Mourning of Naples, FL; 2 brothers, Jeff (Margie) Stivers of Noblesville and Don (Sandy) Stivers Jr. of Brownsburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Charlene Eberle; his grandmother, Opal Noe; and his nephew, Jacob Stivers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics Hamilton County, PO Box 730, Noblesville, IN 46061.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Brown Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Lore Gibson officiating.
