Jacob Robert David Chilcott, 30, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was born February 12, 1991, in Lafayette, and graduated from Faith Christian School and attended Ivy Tech State College.

Jacob and his fiancée Stefanie Reed had been together for the past twelve years.

He enjoyed his work as a caregiver for Help at Home, providing care for those with special needs.

Jacob enjoyed all things relating to cars, including the car community and playing video games.

Surviving are his fiancée, Stefanie Reed of Lafayette, parents, Shana (Jeffrey) Chilcott of Lafayette, his biological father, Anthony Lancaster of Lafayette, brother, Jeffrey (Lexy) Chilcott, Jr. of Lafayette,  nephew, Luke Chilcott, grandparents, Barbara (David) Gustafson of Mulberry, David (Linda) Hogg of Lafayette, Donna Lancaster of Lafayette, Suzanne(Michael) Hart of West Lafayette, and Charles (Betty) Chilcott of Kokomo, uncle, Cory (Amy) Chilcott of Monticello, aunt, Lita (Jon) Marion of Martinsville, and cousins, Christian Marion of Nashville, TN, and Andrew Marion of Indianapolis.

Jacob was preceded in death by a grandfather, Robert Lancaster and an uncle Jeremy (JB) Bitner.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 19th at Soller- Baker Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 also at Soller- Baker Funeral Home,  400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, with Pastor Trey Garner officiating.  Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
