Jack L. Parks, 84, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Creasy Springs Health Campus.

He was born April 4, 1938, in Lafayette, to the late Byrle and Virginia (Swisher) Parks.

Jack graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1956 and went to work as a electrician for IBEW Local 668 for 44 years before retiring.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Sons of American Legion, American Legion Post # 11 and Lafayette Cloud Jockeys. He enjoyed radio control planes, playing golf and computers.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Fisher Parks, sons, Marty (wife Jerri) Parks, Jeff (wife Jennifer) Parks, Edward (companion Cindy Johnson) Parks all of Lafayette, Steve (wife Robin) Parks of Dayton, Robert (wife Cindy) Pitts, Johnnie Pitts, Jimmy (wife Missy) Pitts and Billy Pitts all of Lafayette. Also surviving are several grand and great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law’s Chrissi Pitts and Theresa Pitts.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at American Legion Post 11, 1801 S. 9th St. Lafayette, IN 47905

In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association.
