Jack Eugene Eversole passed away surrounded by family on April 21, 2016. Jack was born August 16, 1930 in Lafayette, Indiana to Katheryne Elouise Burke and Glenn Salem Eversole. He is preceded in death by Patricia Joanne Eversole, beloved wife of more than 50 years and nurse that never forgot to check his blood sugar. He is survived by 4 kids: Joni Droke, Heidi Whitus (Husband: Bob), Shawn (Wife: Tina) & Scott (Wife: Jodi), and many grandkids, great-grandkids, and grand-dogs. Jack served 22 years in the United States Air Force, traveling around the world with his family, teaching English during his service in Japan, and volunteering gifts from home to children in Vietnam. After retiring, he truly became a “Jack of all trades.” He loved woodworking, walking his dogs, going to auctions, Diet Coke, and volunteering at the Wildcat Wildlife Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pawswap of Greater Lafayette (pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com), Mended Hearts Rescue (mhrindy.org) or Wildcat wildlife center in honor of Jack's love of animals. Family and friends will be gathering Sunday at 4 pm at The Other Pub on South 9th St to celebrate Jacks life, all are welcome. Graveside service will be 1:30 pm Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Boniface Cemetery.
