Jack Dean Buck, 81, of Delphi, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  He was born August 12, 1943, in Lafayette, IN, to the late James and Erby (Heath) Buck.

Jack graduated from East Tipp High School and Purdue University, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Technology and a Master’s Degree in Teaching.

On January 31, 1970, he married Sharon Connelly in Battle Ground, and she survives.

Jack farmed in Tippecanoe County most of his life and enjoyed drag racing, Indy Car, NASCAR, traveling and was a jack of all trades.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Carmen Buck of Lafayette, Kelly (Carl) Farrar of Lafayette, Jarrold (Carrie) Buck of Fowler, Joseph Buck of Indianapolis, grandchildren Karissa and Kaitlyn Springer, Garrett and Riley Farrar, Kyra and Caleb Buck.  Also surviving is his brother James C. (Lois) Buck of Lafayette.

Jack was preceded in death by siblings Marlene Mitchell, Karen Hilt, David Buck and Dalas Buck.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.   Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
