Irene Smith, 82, formerly of Lafayette died Tuesday February 5, 2013 at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, IN. She was born April 29, 1930, in Delphi, IN to the late Paul and Clara Sims. Irene worked as a Secretary in the Psychology Department at Purdue University until retiring. She enjoyed painting and traveling. Surviving are her sons Bruce A. Smith of Lansing, MI and Ronald L. Smith of Lafayette. Visitation will be 1/2 hour prior to at 10:00 AM Service Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
