Irene E. Miller, 87, of Mulberry, passed away at 12:30 pm Monday, December 16, 2013 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. She was born June 1, 1926, in Pine Grove, PA, to the late Edwin and Mary Zerbe Heinbach. On February 1, 1946 she married Amos C. Miller in Pine Grove, PA. Irene along with her husband owned Miller Auto Care for several years in Carmel before they retired. She was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, reading and was very involved with her children's activities as they grew up. It is a comfort to know Irene began her eternal life the summer of 1946. The assurance comes from God. Romans 6: 4-11. Surviving along with her husband Amos are two sons Randy Miller (wife Deborah) of Lafayette; Galen C. Miller (wife Charlotte) of Cookeville, TN; a daughter Cynthia I. Adams (husband Philip) of Cookeville, TN; a sister Arlene Umbenhauer (husband Dale) of Pine Grove, PA; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, a step grandchild and a great grandchild. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 20, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909 with Alan Yeater officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
