Hubert L. Crum, 89, of Lafayette died Friday, September 25, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East. He was born January 6, 1926, in Tippecanoe County to the late Artie and Bertha Botts Crum. Hubert graduated from Klondike High School and served in the Army in WWII. On March 28, 1945 he married Marjorie Barker in Lafayette and she survives. Hubert owned and operated Crum Construction for many years and is retired. He was a member of Elston Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post #11. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and gardening. Surviving along with his wife are his children Gerald E. Crum (Suzanne) of West Point, Jean Ann Gray (Dan) of Indianapolis, Michael J. Crum (Susan) of Lafayette, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. Also surviving is a sister Mary Lou Corbin of Lafayette and a brother Charles Crum (Arlene) of Dayton. Hubert was preceded in death by a son Robert W. Crum and 7 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Rick Ryan officiating. Interment will be at Spring Vale Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to Elston Presbyterian Church in Hubert's memory.
