Harvey L. Burns, 88, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. He was born May 2, 1930, in Tulsa, OK. On June 9, 1984 he married Jane Harris and she proceded him in death on May 29, 2003.
Harvey worked for Rea Magnet Wire for many years. At the time of his retirement in 1995, he was a Supervisor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #103 in Dayton and attended Christ United Methodist and Dayton United Methodist Church. Harvey was an avid sportsman and enjoyed photgraphy and wine making.
Surviving are his daughters Dawn D. (Tony) Hughes, Gayle E. Wright all of Lafayette, Susan L. (James) Bennett of Colorado Springs, CO, Leslie A. Burns of NC, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are his step children Steve Harris, Carol Robbins, Michael Harris all of Lafayette, 6 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service 11:00 am on Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., James Bennett officiating. Interment will be at Meadow View Cemetery, Lafayette, Indiana.
