Harold M. McCoy

Harold M. McCoy, 74, of West Lafayette, died at 4:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2015 at IU Arnett Hospital. He was born October 13, 1940, in Frankfort, to the late Elmer F. and Rovene H. Crose McCoy. Harold graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School Class of 1958 and Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in Management in 1990. He served in the United States Army from 16 Sep 1963 to 18 Aug 1965 and achieved the rank of Specialist Four. He worked at ALCOA as a technician and moved into management for 39 years of total service. Harold retired on February 01, 2002. He then worked for South Bend Medical Foundation Inc. for five years. His marriage was to Maria K. Kim on September 14, 1965 in Seoul, South Korea. Today was their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Harold's hobbies included Purdue football, music, reading, traveling, and photography. He was a member of ALCOA Retiree's Club, American Legion Post 11, VFW 1154, and the John Purdue Club. Surviving is his Wife- Maria Kim McCoy, West Lafayette, Daughters- Sandra Boyer (spouse Gary), Mary McCoy of Lafayette Son- David McCoy- Los Angeles, CA Sister- Mary Douglas- Lafayette Four grandchildren- Thomas Sennott, Cole Boyer, Sophie Boyer, Jack Boyer, two nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel at 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Pastor Daniel Berry will be officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax, IN.
