Harold E. Morris, 68
Harold E. Morris, 68, of Lafayette, died at 9:55 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at his residence.
Born March 8, 1942, in Marion, he was the son of the late T. Marshall and Ethel Benbow Morris. He graduated from Mississinewa High School.
On Oct. 14, 1961, he married Barbara J. Baker in Gas City, and she survives.
Mr. Morris retired from Alcoa after 24 years in the tube mill department.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Taha Schwarz (husband: Michael) and Lisa Wittgren, both of Lafayette; two sons, Sidney Morris (wife: Amy) of Westfield and Mitchell Morris (wife: Tina) of Indianapolis; six sisters, Marianne Briles of Fowlerton, Jackie Russell of Georgetown, Fla., Ruth Cook (husband: Ted) of Marion, Helen Stevens and Cathy Morris, both of Gas City, and Marsha White (husband: Jerry) of LaFontaine; and two brothers, Richard Morris (wife: Norma) of Upland and the Rev. Jerry Morris (wife: Rita) of Clint, Texas.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Kyle, Nick and Jack Whittgren, Levi and Cody Schwarz, Matthew, Will, Michael, Sam and Sophia Morris.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Fr. Dominic Young officiating.
