Grant Russell House, Grant Man, son of Jay and Tamara House was born on December 18, 1989. This is a young man that’s heart outweighs his body, and soul that runs on love, and love alone. Grant has built a life mission to care, befriend, and spread joy to the world. His personality is defined by his actions and understood through his compassionate and humorous words. There is nothing that Grant wants and needs more than to have others see the work of his friendship, faith, and family. Grantman was given wings on the evening of Thursday, December 3, 2015. He now has strong legs, arms, and a heart and soul that belongs to Grant’s hero above. The loss of his humbling and genuine self, is a hurt that will never go away and a hole in the House Family that will never be filled. Grant has left with absolute peace, his three younger siblings Maggie Jae, Ross, and Cooper, and his new brother, Matt Budreau, to show the world the light he shined on this earth every day. He has now joined his younger brother Griffin, above. He has also left his Mamaw and Papaw, Brenda and Dennis O’Brien and Papa House, James House, with the responsibility of carrying on their grandson’s selfless legacy. Grant has left memories of his laugh, witty humor, acts of kindness, countless stories, beautiful innocence, trusting heart, and undeniable grace. He is remembered for living a life of forgiveness, hope, positivity, and endless friendship.   Grant graduated from McCutcheon High School where he won the hearts of his classmates and faculty. He was football manager, school spirit winner, and the most popular smile in those halls. G-man accomplished every goal he set and exceeded all limits. One of those goals was being a college student at Ivy Tech Community College. Later, Grant was employed by his beloved Wabash Center, where he became a staff member. Wabash Center and his passion for his job allowed for his independence to grow and social circle to grow even bigger. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ where he praised God for his happiness, helped his church family, and spent his whole life dedicating his giving heart to. Grant was also a ten year 4-H member of Tippecanoe County, where he left endless memories to other 4-Hers and their families.   Grantman served as this community’s social butterfly. He gained the attention of others through showing them how much he wanted to be a part of their day and life. The life he lived was like no other that has ever lived. Try and think of one person who has left this world without one enemy. Only him. The most attractive part about Grant was that he did not care about what shirt he had on, wearing multicolored necklaces, having others tie his phone, help him up the stairs, or sitting beside a total stranger. All Grant cared about was showing off his gift of love and his abilities to make you feel wanted.   Grant wants to feel your love. He would want everyone to feel his unconditional love. Grant Russell House’s visitation is at Soller Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Tuesday, December 8th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The House family and friends are requesting that you bring and wear a beaded necklace or bracelet in remembrance of his love for making beaded gifts for those around him. Grant would also want you to donate your canned pop tabs to his family this day, so that all his past and present donations can be sent to Riley Children’s Hospital. Those that know Grant, know that his family’s requests are his greatest wishes. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1526 S 18th St., Lafayette, Rev T.J. Jenney PhD officiating. All are welcome and needed because Grantman would want you there. Interment will be at Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry. Those wishing may contribute in Grant’s memory to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Tippecanoe County 4-H Exhibit Association or Wabash Center.
