Geraldine F. Harrington, 91, formerly of Lafayette passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2015 in Terrell Texas. She was born April 22, 1923, in Lafayette to the late Manuel and Josephine Mahlke Floyd. She graduated from Dayton High School and attended Purdue University for two years. On November 29, 1947 she married William J. Harrington and he passed away on December 6, 1968. Geraldine was Owner of Swim & Pool Supplies and retired in 1981. She also farmed the family farm for many years. She was a Past member of the American Legion Auxillary and VFW Aux. Geraldine enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. Surviving are her sons William F. Harrington, Thomas E. Harrington both of Terrell,TX, granddaughter, Amanda Sanders (Chris), Burneyville,OK, grandsons, B.J. Kelley, Chad Stetler both of Lafayette and several great grand children . Geraldine was preceded in death by her brother Manuel E. Floyd. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 PM-4:00 PM January 18, 2015 at Soller-Baker West Chapel 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00AM at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, West Lafayette, Fr. Jeremy Harrington OFM officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Geraldine's memory.
