Gerald V. Andrews, 75, of Lafayette died Wednesday May 29, 2013 at IU Arnett Hospital. He was born April 24, 1938, in Detroit, MI, to the late Avery and Bonnie Bridges Andrews. Gerald graduated from Crawfordsville High School and served in the United States Army. On December 24, 1960 he married Catherine Long in Crawfordsville and she survives. Mr. Andrews worked at the Journal Review in Crawfordsville and then as a Pressman at the Journal and Courier for 36 years retiring in 2002. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving along with his wife are his sons G. Vincent Andrews wife Gloria J. of Lafayette, Robert W. Andrews wife Karen S. of Lafayette, Randall M. Andrews wife Krissy M. of Delphi, grandchildren Remington Andrews, Scott Andrews, Hunter Andrews, Rachel Andrews, A.J. Andrews, Kevin Andrews, Dorinda Andrews, Addy Andrews and Colt Andrews. Also surviving is a sister Valerie Howard husband Mark of Crawfordsville. Gerald was preceded in death by his brothers James Andrews and Larry Andrews. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Burial will be at Meadow View Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
