George D. Raher, 80, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. He was born November 2, 1937, in Lafayette to the late Lloyd “Jack” and Ethel Gephart Raher. George graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and served in the Army from 1956 to 1959.
George worked for National Homes Acceptance for 20 years. He then moved to Flordia and worked in the mortgage business and in maintenance.
He had been a member of the Elks and enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and working jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving is his brother Jim (Patricia) Raher of Dayton, nieces Anita (Randall) DeVault of Reynolds and Leigh (Jeff) Dillon of Westfield.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Mackey Children’s Cancer Foundation in George’s memory.
