Eugene Cochran, 80
Eugene “Gene” Cochran, 80, of Battle Ground , IN, died at 8:07 PM Friday May 11, 2012 at Indiana University Health.
He was born April 16, 1932, in McCoysburg, IN, to the late Roy and Tillie Cochran.
He served in the United States Army from October 28, 1952 to October 27, 1954.
On September 22nd 1956 he married Helen Hickman in Rensselaer.
Gene, at 16 was sent to Rensselaer to work at the Miniature Train Factory
A retired barber, he owned the Clip Joint in Monon from 1959-1975
In 1975 he became a member of the Teamsters hauling steel all over the country including to Chicago for the Sears tower .
He enjoyed all sports, working in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving along with the spouse are
Son- Mark Cochran, wife Barbara, of Lafayette, IN
Daughter- Lisa Wright, husband Thomas, of West Lafayette, IN
Daughter- Lori Bryant, husband Christopher, of West Lafayette, IN
Son- Matt Cochran, wife Dawn, of Boswell, IN

10 Grandchildren Bethany and Whitney Wright, Megan Cotterman (husband Tyler), Robert Cochran (wife Claire) Nathan and Marissa Bryant, Claudia, Owen, Adric and Carolyn Cochran.
1 Great grandson Rhett Cochran
Brother- Paul Cochran,of Rensselaer, IN
Preceded in death by 2 Brothers Donald and Glen

Memorial visitation will be 2 hours prior to 12pm memorial service Saturday May 19, 2012 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel
