My heart is saddened to hear of your loss, but also rejoices in the knowing that Gaylord is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, and is no longer suffering. I never had the blessing of meeting Gaylord, but can see that he was an inspiration to his family, friends and even strangers. I pray that God gives all of you peace, comfort, strength and joy in knowing that you will see him again one day, along with his loving wife. I was told that Gaylord loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. I believe when Gaylord came into the presence of Jesus, he was told...Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord!

God Bless all of you, The Boas Family, The Marshall Family, The Stewart Family and the rest of his family and friends.

Rosa-Marie Sacco left a message on September 12, 2010:
Dearest Family,

I will never forget the day ""Grandpa"" Marshall met my father, Joe Sacco. They became fast friends and loved each other dearly. When we attended ""Grandpa&s"" 90th birthday party, he pointed Joe Sacco out of the crowd as a WWII hero. My father was both stunned and honored.

That was the kind of man Grandpa was. He thought of others and tried to make everyone feel special and loved. His heart was so big there were no limits to his love. He made all of us feel like part of his family - as if we had known him forever.

Please know that we treasured him, as we treasure you all, and feel so blessed that he and all of you are in our lives. The Lord put us together from different parts of the country, I think, so that Grandpa and my dad could become friends and share their memories. Now we have their memories and their greatness to carry forward in our own lives.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this, knowing that Grandpa shares the wonders of heaven with his beloved Rosemary and watches over his children from above now.

We love you all!

Rosa-Marie Sacco
