Gary A. McDaniel, 53, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at IU Health Methodist hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 13, 1963, in Lafayette, to Dan and Vivian Danaher McDaniel. Gary graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
His marriage in 1987 was to Bridget T. Franklin and she survives. Gary worked as a plumber in physical maintenance at Purdue University. He enjoyed NASCAR, playing horseshoes and vacationing at the beach, but mostly he enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren. Gary was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie #347.
Surviving are wife, Bridget McDaniel of Lafayette, son Adam J. McDaniel, daughter Natalie Stevens (husband Richard) both of Lafayette, his parents Dan and Vivian McDaniel of Stockwell, brothers Danny McDaniel of Lafayette and Scott McDaniel (wife Laura) of Alabama, sister-in-law Karen McDaniel of Linden, and 4 Grandchildren, Kellen, A.J., Kali Stevens, and JoJo McDaniel.
Preceded in death by a brother Robert McDaniel.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday April 17, 2017 Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Mass of christian burial on Tuesday April 18, 2017, 1:00 pm at St Ann Catholic Church, Fr. Dominic Young officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to: St Ann’s Matthew 25 Share and Care Soup Kitchen, 612 Wabash Ave. Lafayette, IN 47905.
