I am so sorry for your loss. I am Tom Biedenharn&s daughter and had the pleasure of talking to your Dad a few times over the past few years since he was a friend of my Dad&s. He was quite the character and my Dad loved him..and misses him terribly!

Your Dad also was so thoughtful and sent my husband and I a large pack of diapers when my two children were born---who are now almost 5 and 2.

I just wanted to express my sympathies to you on your loss!

Chip Redman left a message on February 24, 2012:
I only met Fritz a few times with my father, but he and my dad, Bob Redman, were old buddies. They both got into the hog business in the 70&s and were really ahead of their time. My father always enjoyed going to PIC(Pig Improvement Company) meetings with Fritz and thought the world of him. It always sounded like they had a lot of fun! In their older years they would meet once or twice a year for lunch. When Bob passed away, three years ago, Fritz was in the Southeast some place, either North Carolina or Georgia, and drove all the way to Dana to make his funeral. I really appreciated that. I think our fathers were pretty lucky in life, and death. We can only hope to be so lucky. I&m sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,
Chip Redman
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To the family of Fritz Holzgrefe - I was a bridesmaid in Jean&s and Fritz& wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Richmond, VA - I recall a great party the night before and being just a little ""shaky"" at the service but we certainly had fun. I had lost track of Fritz over all these years. I saw his obit in the Richmond paper and just wanted to share a wonderful memory with his family. My prayers and sympathy to you all at this time.

Fritz: When I woke up Sunday morning and saw the Queen of Angels respose of the soul and heard that your dad had passed away I thought about you and Mary Jo all day. I can&t imagine after just recently losing your mother and now your dad how hard and difficult this time is right now. I only met your dad once, but my first thoughts were that he was your rock and that you looked up to him tremendously! Maybe after your mom passed he was lonely and just was ready to go be with her in God&s loving arms in heaven too.

Take care Fritz I know this is going to be a difficult weekend. Kevin and I hope you find peace in knowing your dad is safe with God in heaven.

To Fritz & Mary Jo, Regis and Jim: We are so sorry for your loss. Fritz was a truly great boss who provided for my livelihood for nearly 22 years and gave Charlie his first full-time work in production. He also provided work for many families in Montgomery, Fountain, and Warren Counties. We thank him for the way that he continued to make life better for us through the challenges he faced with insurance coverage for his employees, volatile prices of corn and soybean meal, and low prices of hogs. We remember the Lenox Christmas ornaments that he gave us girls at the office, Kings Island bus trips, and the time he sent some of us employees to Disney World! That was a fabulous time! You should be very proud of your father for the way he supported the Waynetown Volunteer Fire Department and the Waynetown Pork Fry. He will be missed. I will never forget that he went to my mom&s funeral and to our wedding. We have a picture of Fritz throwing rice at us while we were getting into our car. I think Charlie vacuumed that car a hundred times. Please let Catherine and David know that we enjoyed our time in Virginia in 2006. We are sorry that we will be unable to attend the funeral as we are going to Valparaiso University to see Mike&s play. I don&t think Fritz would mind as he always put family first. He truly loved his family and grandkids. And now as Fritz would say, ""I&m going to go burn up the road"". That always made me laugh.

Dear Regis and Fritz,

I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. Two of them is such a close period of time I am sure is not easy. I remember Uncle Fritz as always being so kind. I always liked him so very much. I will miss him. Whenever I have thought of him it always brought a smile to my face. It will continue to so.

Take care of each other and in time your pain will decrease while your beautiful memories will linger forever.

Thinking of you all.
