Frank Lyle Barker, 88, of Dayton, died Saturday, December 7, 2019 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.
He was born June 23, 1931 in Huntington, IN to the late Roscoe and Marie Barker and was a 1949 graduate of Jackson Center High School. He married Anita (Platt) Peters on Jan 25, 1997 in Yuma, AZ. Frank enjoyed his career as a semi-truck driver and also enjoyed his time employed at Geyer Construction as a dump truck driver.
Frank enjoyed fishing and working but above all, he loved the time spent with his family and grandchildren.
Along with his wife Anita, he is survived by 3 children, Kathy (Mel) Spaulding, Bill Barker, and Ann (Bob) Kizer; 4 step-children, Kevin (Kristie) Peters, Kim (Mike) Rice, Mary Anne (Walter) Rader, and Marsha (Dwaine) Hufford; 7 grandchildren, Twins, Matthew and Brian, and Scott Spaulding, Greg and Nicole Barker, Reece and Heath Kizer; 1 great-granddaughter, Isabella Spaulding; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosie (Charles) Cain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Marie; 2 twin-brothers; 2 sisters; a step-grandson; and a step-great-grandson.

Visitation will be from1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Terry Chase officiating.
Interment will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery, 4700 Dayton Rd, Lafayette, IN 47905.
