Emma M. Zimmerman, 100, of Lafayette, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Creasy Springs Health Campus. She was born April 1, 1918, in Nineveh, IN, to the late Charles and Sinie Kelley Rainwater.
On February 27, 1937, she married Melvin E. Zimmerman in Nashville, IN and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2003. She was a member of Stidham United Methodist Church and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Emma enjoyed leading the Lighthouse Prayer Group at the church for many years.
Surviving are her daughters-in-law Sharon Zimmerman and Kay Zimmerman, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her sons David L. Zimmerman and Keith W. Zimmerman, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Stidham United Methodist Church in Emma’s Memory.
