Earl F. Meadows Jr., 82
Earl F. Meadows Jr., 82, of Lafayette, died at Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at St. Mary Health Care.
He was born Aug. 17, 1928, in Indianapolis, to the late Earl Meadows Sr. and Florence Gentry Meadows. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.
He married Rozella Cordray. They divorced. On Dec. 1, 1984, he married Jane Knapp Meadows in Lafayette.
Mr. Meadows worked For Eli Lilly & Co. Lafayette and Indianapolis facilities as a supervisor in Chem House.
He served in the Air Force from Sept. 25, 1946, to Aug. 26, 1949, and was a member of VFW 1154 and Moose lodge. His hobbies included traveling, golfing, reading, casino gambling and yard work.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Phillip Meadows (wife: Kim) of Minneapolis, Minn., Terry Meadows of Shadeland and Bradley Meadows (wife: Sonya) of West Point; and two daughters, Connie Bechner (husband: Stan) of Denton, Texas, and Dawn Hummer (husband: Michael) of Lafayette.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 children, twins Vic & Vicki, 1 brother, 3 sisters and a great-granddaughter, Maddie Meadows.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the charity of choice. www.soller-baker.com
