Dwila Carol Bloom, 78, of Alpharetta, GA, formerly of West Lafayette, Indiana died at 4:45 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1933, in Churubusco, to the late Dwight and Estella Parish.
She received a Master?s degree from Purdue University in Art Education, and a Bachelor?s degree in Interior Design.
On June 26, 1954 she married Donald J. Bloom. He survives.
Dwila was an Art teacher at Klondike Middle School for 22 years before retiring.
She was a member of Church of the Blessed Sacrament for 32 years before moving to Georgia.
She enjoyed art, and had published one art textbook and two social studies textbooks.
Surviving along with her husband is a son Brian Bloom (wife April) of Canton, GA, a brother Dallas Parish (wife Gloria) of Churubusco, a sister Carmen Horn of Roseville, OH, a granddaughter Victoria Bloom and three grandchildren by marriage Amber, Boone and Austin.
She was preceded in death by a son Bruce Bloom, a brother Richard Parish, a sister Donnis Goneau and two half brothers Warren and Randall Disler.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Church of the Blessed Sacrament with Fr. David Buckles officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.

My heart was filled with warm thoughts last night while driving home thinking of the many fantastic times we had when we were a ""little younger.""
