Dear Todd and Michelle: We are so sorry for your loss. Tip was a mentor, a friend, and a colleague and he will be deeply missed. We have so many fond memories of dinners and social events with your dad, the Roglers, and others. After we left Purdue, we very much enjoyed his annual Holiday letter telling us about the trips that he took with you. Please accept our sincere condolences.

We are heartbroken to hear of Tip's passing. He and his family adopted us into their family in the 1970's when we were at Purdue; we have so many happy memories. Our condolences to Michelle and Todd. We will miss your dad so much.

I have known Tip in various capacities for my entire 40 year career. He has always treated me with professionalism and respect as a fellow swine nutritionist. Most recently I have served with him on the MW Swine Nutrition Conference Planning Committee. It is admirable that he continued to serve on this committee even after he retired from Purdue demonstrating his commitment to academic pursuit and to life-long learning. My prayers are for his family and close friends who surely will miss him.

As a graduate student in Animal Science in the 70's I have fond memories of Tip and John Rogler holding 'court' in the break room in Lily, willing to expound on any topic to all who would be willing to listen and challenge their opinions.
