Dorothea A.”Dottie” Hoadley, 75, of Lafayette, IN, died at 10:13 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born June 20, 1938 in Lafayette, IN, to the late Willis and Eleanor Burkle Haag. Dottie attended Lafayette Jefferson High School. In 1956 she was married to Clarence R. Hayes and he passed away in July of 1964. In 1972 she married Richard Hoadley and they owned and operated Hoadley Communications and Radio Link in Tippecanoe County. Richard passed away in August 1988. Dottie was an avid bowler. She was very active in all three bowling lanes here in Lafayette and she held many offices within the leagues. She loved traveling to the Bowling Nationals and USBC Tournaments. She was also active in the 500 & 600 clubs and a member of local Bowling Assoc. for many years. She was also member of the Lafayette Eagles Lodge #347. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and ceramics. Surviving is her Daughter-Linda Bennett (Mike)Bennett, Lafayette,Grand daughter- Cassandra L. Naden(Robert), Kempton,IN,Great grand daughter- Abby Naden.Sisters- Irene Gray, Mary E. Moore both of Lafayette, Preceded in death by Brother- Phillip Haag of Lakeland, FL.Visitation will be 4:00PM-6:00PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel . Funeral Service 10:00AM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel , Rev. J. William Overbay officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Those wishing may contribute to the American Lung Assoc.
