Donna Smith, 72, of Lafayette, died at 8:40 am, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. She was born September 9, 1944, in Lafayette, to the late Ordle and Helen Shelton. Donna was a 1962 Graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Shortly after High School, she married Laurel J. Smith on December 22, 1962 in Lafayette. He survives. Donna was a daycare provider in Lafayette. She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.

Surviving with her husband are their four children, sons, Michael Smith of Lafayette, and Andrew Smith (Heather) of Plano, TX, a daughter, Angela Grossman (Paul) of Lafayette, and a son, Aaron Smith (Amy) of West Lafayette, and 5 grandchildren Allison, Carolyn, Daniel, and Thomas Smith and Garrett Grossman. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sheryl Shafer.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. A Funeral Service will be held 1:30 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 at Evangelical Covenant Church, 3600 S. 9th Street, Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow the service at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Pastor Stacey Littlefield will be officiating. The family is asking that donations be made to St. Matthew 25 Share and Care Soup Kitchen, 612 Wabash Ave, Lafayette, IN 47905.
