Donald Thomas “Tom” Pritchett, 62, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Majestic Care.

He was born September 30, 1959, in Lafayette, to Donald and Belva (Hosier) Pritchett.

Tom graduated from Harrison High School in 1977 where he was a standout track athlete and still holds the record in the 440 yard dash. After high school Tom received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue University.

Tom was a successful entrepreneur owning three small business’s before moving on to Caterpillars Large Engine Center. Tom was described as a very unique individual who loved reading the Bible and going to church. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor and smile.

Surviving with his mother are his wife, Jane Pritchett of Chicago, IL, his ex-wife and mother of his son Ruth Yan, son, Jeremiah T. “JT” (companion Crystal) Pritchett of Lafayette, two brothers, Robert (wife Patty) Pritchett of Cincinnati, OH, and James (wife Rita) Pritchett of Brookston and a sister, Sharon (husband Mike) Warren of Washington, MO.

Tom was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Joseph Bein officiating.
