Donald T. Morrison, 86, of Lafayette, died at 2:53 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Indiana University Health. He was born October 1, 1926, in Lafayette, to the late Edward L. and L. Marine Mansfield Morrison. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1946 and served in the United States Navy during WWII. Donald had worked for Bell Telephone before retiring from ALCOA after 17 years and then Retiring from Purdue University as a biochem store keeper in 1989 after 17 years. On November 11, 1966, he married Julia Brand in Lafayette and she survives. Donald was a member of American Legion Post 11, NRA, was past District Commisioner of Boy Scouts, and enjoyed painting, drawing, woodworking, music, reading and collecting model trains. Surviving along with his wife are three sons, Donald V. Morrison (wife: Victoria), of West Lafayette, Brian B. Morrison, of Lafayette and Kevin Morrison (wife: Beth), of Camden; two daughters, Abi Blue, of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Alison Frederick (husband: Steve), of Frankfort; a sister, Helen Andersen (husband: Stephen), of Lafayette; a very special sister-in-law, Ruth Morrison, of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana Schnaible and Barbara Darwin; and two brothers, Marvin and Mahlon Morrison. Donald's request was to have no funeral service.
