Donald E. Perkins, 89, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 in Clarks Hill.

He was born October 28, 1931, in Darlington to the late George and Malissa (Guinn) Perkins.

Don graduated from Clarks Hill High School in 1950 and on October 30, 1954, he married Nancy C. Smith in Clarks Hill an she preceded him in death on December 25, 2020.

Don was a life long farmer in Clarks Hill and had been a custodian at Southwestern Middle School for several years.  He was a member of Clarks Hill Christian Church and had served as a Deacon.

Surviving are his daughters Melody A. (Dave) Murphy of Lafayette, Leslie S. (Kevin) Waldridge of Clarks Hill, grandchildren Laura (Jacob) VanderHaeghen, Cameron McIntyre, Josh (Carin) Waldridge, Drew (Carey) Waldridge, great grandchildren Cecelia, Gustav, Joel and Xiomara.  Don and Nancy loved their nieces and nephews as well.

Don was preceded in death by twin sons Darrell and Darrin Perkins and by 2 brothers and 7 sisters.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Monday, at Clarks Hill Christian Church, Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Clarks Hill, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to Clarks Hill Christian Church in Don’s memory.
