Dianna Lynn Barnard, 68, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born December 2, 1951, in Lafayette.
Dianna graduated from Jefferson High School.
She married her soul mate, Max Barnard, June 14, 1969. Once he retired, they discovered their love for traveling. She enjoyed the many adventures she had with her adoring husband and sidekick.
She valued and adored spending time with her girls. Her grandchildren were the light that shined ever bright in her world.
Family gatherings and cookouts were her specialty. If anyone walked away hungry that was their own fault because she cooked for an army.
Spending time with her brother and sisters was always a hoot! One could never imagine the fun they would find.
Surviving along with her husband, Max Barnard of Lafayette, are daughters, Amy (Partner Jeff Hoaks) Mullin, Marcie (Ty) Vanderkolk and Angela (Pat) Hilbun all of Lafayette, sisters, Sandra Grant of Clarks Hill and Debra Weast of Lafayette and brother, Steven (Diane) Schrader of Americus. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tyler and Hunter Mullin, Maddy Solis, Jordyn Hilbun, Mallory (Jake) Balducci, Dailey (Jeff) Tingley and Kali and Eli Vanderkolk. As well as great grandchildren, Easton and Rylee Balducci.
Dianna was preceded in death by her father and mother, Kirk and Opal Athow and by her parents, Earl Leroy Schrader and Bernice (Pickering) Schrader.
A celebration of life with special friends and family will be held at a later date.
