I just found out about Mrs Chalks passing. She was my principal at Murdock when I was younger in the 80s. I loved her so much. She was a wonderful principal. I remember how strong and bold she could be but also so sweet, gentle and loving. She will be deeply missed

Robin I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing from this world to a better world. I know you will miss her so much, as will your family. I read her obituary and felt an immediate kinship. I was born in 1943 and graduated in 1961 as valedictorian of my class just like your mom. I got my BS in 1965 and became a teacher as well. She left an incredible legacy in you and she would be so proud. I will be donating to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation in her name. If there is anything that John or I could do for you, please let us know.

I’m so sorry to hear of Dianna’s passing. I worked with your mom for years when she was at Cumberland and then when she was the GLASS specialist. I knew both your dad and mom well. They were always one of my favorite people in the world. They were such a loving couple and although you will miss them both dearly they are finally together again. You are blessed with beautiful memories to cherish. I pray for peace and comfort as you grieve Dianna’s loss.

I had the privilege of knowing Dianna from the mid 70's. We met first through speech-language pathology but then became part of the beginning of THE BRIDGE GROUP! What wonderful memories I have of sharing time and life with Dianna. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to all of those who loved her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Lafayette lost a great leader this past week when my friend and colleague, Dianna Chalk, passed away. She taught me so many lessons about how to lead a school, and how to lead my life. Her legacy will live on in all the educators she inspired and the children she empowered. I am very grateful that over the past two years we were able to enjoy an occasional lunch together and laugh about old times. My sympathies go out to her two daughters and their families during this difficult time.
