Deloris A. Minniear, 81
Deloris A. Minniear, 81, of Lafayette, died at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at her residence.
Born Nov. 13, 1928, in Buck Creek, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Stella Clawson Templin. She attended Klondike High School.
On Jan. 29, 1946, she married Omer E. “Sam” Minniear in Lafayette, and he died on June 26, 1984.
Mrs. Minniear was a travel agent for Lafayette Travel for 28 years and Gold Tour & Travel for seven years.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 11 Auxiliary and Eagles 347 of Lafayette. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Coward (husband: John F. “Jack”) of Lafayette; and a sister, June Brettnacher of Mulberry.
Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, John E. Coward (wife: Stephanie) of Spring Grove, Ill., and Deanna Sundell (husband: Dan) of Morton Ill.; and 4 great-grandchildren, Blair, Katelyn, Haley and Alec. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Visitation from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Fr. Timothy Alkire officiating. Private inurnment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
