Delores V. Black

Delores Virginia Black, 91, of Lafayette, died at 3:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Rosewalk Village.
She was born March 27, 1920, in Lafayette, and was the daughter of the late James C. and Opal Bramlet Casto.
She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and was a homemaker.
On Oct. 23, 1938, she married Carl E. Black in Lafayette. He died in 1993.
Mrs. Black was a member of Christ Church.
Surviving are a son, Phil Black (wife: Judy) of Lafayette; a sister, Joyce Haupt; and a brother, Rodney Casto, both of Lafayette.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 sons, Dewayne and James Black; a sister, Carol Casto; and a brother, Roland Casto.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Leeroy Hill and Rev. Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Vale Cemetery.
