Deana M. Smith, 49, of Lafayette, IN, died Saturday 12:43 am September 6, 2014 at St Elizabeth East ER. She may now rest peacefully following a lengthy battle with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRD). Deana was born January 29, 1965, in Lafayette, IN, to Edward L. Corbin and Linda Beck Blankenship. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. She began working Mary Lou Donuts during high school and Central Labs where she would meet her future husband Terry L. Smith and they were married on January 22,1988.Deana later worked as a phlebotomist at Lafayette Home Hospital and St Elizabeth Central. She enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. Surviving are Husband, Terry L.Smith Sons, Ryan L. Corbin and Michael T. SmithMother, Linda Blankenship, Two grandchildren.Brothers, Jeffery Corbin(Janet),Edward L. Corbin Jr.(Phyllis),James D. Corbin.Three step brothers John Corbin (Nancy),Kenny Corbin,Ronald Corbin, Two step sisters Peggy Scott,Sarah Corbin(Frank) all of Lafayette, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 AM-12 PM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel Funeral Service 12 noon Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Pastor Dan Sager will officiate. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery. She was preceded in death by Father,Edward L. Corbin, sister, Elizabeth A.
