Our condolences to Jean and the Elliott family. My mother, Barbara Rothenberger Beaver of Mulberry, was a first cousin to Dean. Unfortunately, she will be out of town December 24 and therefore unable to attend the service but wanted you to know she will be thinking of you.

Although I have not seen Dean for many years because we lived so far apart, she and I shared many happy times (along with her twin, Jean) as children. I visited my aunt and uncle many times as a child and the twins and I spent much time together. I cherish those memories. I remember Dean as a sweet and gentle person. I regret that distance and the fact that I am recovering from major knee surgery prevents me from coming to Indiana for the funeral.

I am very sorry for your family&s loss. I have heard a great deal of Grandma Dean from Beth Schneidau, and her stories have always made me smile. I am very happy for Beth that she had such a special person in her life that she so obviously loved with all her heart. Again, my condolences for your loss and my heart and thoughts are with you Beth.

We will miss Dean tremendously at the library. She was a vibrant, lovely, intelligent woman who was a great reader. I loved talking to her. My granddaughter Edie is only about a month older than her great granddaughter Molly and we used to talk about how adorable they were. My condolences for your loss.

We here at Northwest Carroll Library Branch in Yeoman will sadly miss Dean. She was an avid reader and user of our library branch. We so enjoyed visiting with her each time she stopped by and loved to hear her stories of her family and Florida trips in the winter. Course, we missed her during the winter months and looked forward to her return in the spring. We were aware of her health issues but were shocked to read of her death. She was a special lady.
Our prayers are with you as they were always with her too. In sympathy - Pat and Jane

To the Family of Dean Elliott,

I&m sorry to read about Dean&s death. I remember Dean&s family from Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church when we were growing up. But more recently, grandson Robert was my mail carrier (and a good one) until routes were changed this year.

I hope your many family memories will help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you.

Dean was my neighbor at Lake Freeman. I have gotten to know her only the last five years, but she was very special to me. We had many walks to the end of the road and back. She had only wonderful things to say about her family. Her family ment everything to her. She enjoyed her independence...so watching her make every effort to remain positive during her fight against this disease has been nothing short of heroic. Dean has been an inspiration to me. Her emotional strength was amazing. She will be greatly missed.
