David P. Guinn

David P. Guinn Jr., 41, of West Lafayette, died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
Born Dec. 13, 1968, in Lafayette, he was the son of David P. Guinn Sr. and Bonnie E. Rardon Guinn of West Lafayette, who survive. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1987.
On June 7, 1997, he married Stephanie Schrader in Lafayette, and she survives.
Mr. Guinn was and electrician and co-owner of Guinn Electric. He attended Crossroads Christian Church and enjoyed motorcycles, 4X4s, ATVs and spending time with his daughters.
Surviving with his wife and parents are two daughters, Lindsey K. Guinn and Camryn E. Guinn, both at home; a brother, Kevin Guinn (wife: Rachel) of West Lafayette; and a sister, Angela Griffith (companion: Dewayne Murray) of Lafayette.
Also surviving are a niece, Jessica; 2 nephews, Jacob and Noah; 2 great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Visitation 2 hours prior to the 2 p.m. service on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909, with Evangelist Michael Duff officiating. Interment will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery.

I used to manage Game X Change and I remember David coming in to check out the newest video games that we had in so he could pass the time recovering from back surgery. Every time he came in the store he always talked highly of his wife and daughter Lindsey. One of the last times I saw him before I switched careers, he came in glowing with the news of his second daughter. He was very proud of his family and he loved them very much. I, too, lost my father at an early age and know the emotions his kids are going through. My thoughts and prayers will be on your family.

My heart aches for you and the girls. We are just so sorry. Dave was a great father and friend. He will be missed by a lot of people, not the least of whom is Teddy. I remember the story I heard (from Teddy) when you were expecting Lindsey, that he ONLY wanted a boy. He didn&t want to think about having a girl. Well, we all know how that baby girl taught him a thing or two! He goes to a better place with love in his heart for all three of his girls.

Stephanie-- My heart goes out to you. I pray comfort and healing in the days to come. One thing I always remember about David is he was always smiling. If there is absolutely anything you need we are just up the road. And I mean it ANYTHING. I am an at home mom so I have time to do what ever you need. Just let me know. Love you ((( Hugs))

Hold on to that and know that now he is looking down from heaven and watching over you. He now has the best seat in the world to watch you grow up, he will see it all so be good..
