David L. Lane Jr.

David L. Lane Jr., 51, of West Lafayette died Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East.  He was born July 7, 1964, in Lafayette to the late David and Carol Whitlock Lane.  David graduated from Tipton High School in 1983 and on November 17, 1989 he married Cheryl Wood in Joliet, IL and she survives.  David had worked for Cook Biotech in West Lafayette  and Caterpillar in Lafayette.  Surviving along with his wife are his daughters Carolyn N. Lane, Chyna R. Lane both of West Lafayette and grandsons Michael Lane-Gard and Renni Laborin.  Also surviving is his sister Melissa Weigh (Daniel) of Elizabethtown, KY.  David was preceded in death by a brother Bradley Lane.  Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society or the Make a Wish Foundation in David’s memory.
