David L. Goad, 63, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at IU Arnett Hospital. He was born July 9, 1955, in Lafayette to the late Ralph and Mary Shide Goad. David graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1973. Materials Management is where Dave started at Eli Lilly in 1973. He spent many years in Emergency Services and retired in 2010. He ended his career in Materials Management with Evonik in 2015.
On July 17, 2000, he married Debra Kallenberger Synesael in Portland Maine and she survives. David enjoyed riding his Harley, mowing his yard and traveling to FL. Surviving with his wife are his children David P. Goad of Amarillo, TX, Wendy C. Feltz of Kewanee, IL, step children Renee J. (Gordon) Decker of Lafayette, Tod A. Synesael of Wingate, Amanda E. (Chad) Lade of Romney and 9 grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Laurie Wigent of Lafayette, Jane (Rod) DeCamp of Monticello, James (Dana) Goad of Lafayette, Lowell (Jill) Goad of OH, Rosie (Greg) George of Lafayette. David was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Goad.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation in Dave’s memory.
