Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Jean.
I was out of town and didn&t read about the passing of your father until today. I remember him coming in for parent conferences; he was a very nice man. I could tell that each of you was special to him. My sympathy to you and the rest of your family.
I&m deeply sorry to hear that Dave has passed away. I know that your love for him was one of a lifetime. I only had the opportunity to meet Dave a couple of times, but it was obvious that he was a fine upstanding person who loved you dearly. There is nothing that I can say or do to ease the pain of your loss. I&m hopeful that by dropping you this note, it brings some comfort. I will be unable to make it to see you in person, as Jesse&s wedding rehearsal was the 30th, and his wedding is today on New Year&s Eve. My god be with you during these trying times of change.

Your Friends, The Hasser Family
Dear Dave:
You proudly fought this illness called cancer so very bravely and straight on.
Only knowing you myself for a short time I admired you love for life, family & friends.
I loved hearing you & Bogie talk of you softball days and your friendship. I tell your family now that I indeed know your pain as my Bogie left us will Dave fought his battle. So now Bogie will be waiting to greet "his Friend" at the gates of heaven. Please draw strenght on how brave he was and how at peace he is now.
Chalmers has truly lost two very strong, loving men in the last two months that will
be very much missed and never replaced. My heart and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Betsy J. Bogan

Words are hard to come by for me at this sorrowful
time. I just wanted to let you know I am feeling your
pain.
I am so glad we had times together this past spring & summer. I will truly miss Dave, he was a great guy,
he always had a smile on his face whenever you would see him.
I know how you will miss him, but he will always be in
your heart. Love of him will always be with you.
He will always be close, you will feel him but not see him.
If you need to talk just let me know, I am here for you
all.
Love you all

My sincere regrets for your loss. I have lost so much contact within the community
not working in town anymore. I was shocked when I saw todays paper and am so sorry. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers! Take care and God Bless!
Sincerely,
Cathy Lehe-Watkins
Words can not express our sincere sorrow for your loss. Although I didn&t know Dave, Ashley spoke very highly of him. I know that he touched many during his life. Although Dave&s time on earth was short, know that he is now in God&s hands and is doing God&s will. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to read in the paper today of your husband&s passing. There is no good time to lose a loved one but it seems around the holidays makes it even worse.
You and your family are in my prayers.
Pat
