Daniel Garza, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 while surrounded by family at St. Elizabeth East Hospital.Daniel was born in Marion to Manuel A. Garza Jr and Rosalie G. “Rosie” (Corral) Garza.
He lived most of his life in Lafayette. Daniel wed Brenda (Vianco) Garza November 2nd, 1986. He was a member of Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene. Daniel enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing and watching sports, and keeping his wife from taking in more than five cats at a time.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Brenda, Lafayette; daughters, Alicia Tull (husband Neal), Princeton, TX, Kristen Garza, Indianapolis; granddaughters, Penelope and Maisie Tull, Princeton, TX; mother, Rosalie Garza, Marion; step-mother, Reva Garza, Crystal River, FL; Brothers, Robert Garza, Nuevo, CA, Jesse Garza, Greenwood, and David Garza, Gas City, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel; brother, Mark.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Tywckenham Blvd. Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Troy Hochstetler officiating. Interment will be at Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the KLD Foundation (http://kldfoundation.org/) to support the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease.
