Daniel Claude Shofroth, Sr., passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family in Lafayette, Indiana, on March 11, 2014.He was born in Hammond, Indiana, on February 8th, 1949 to Robert Charles Shofroth and Ruth Evelyn Boling. He is survived by his mother Ruth, brother Robert Charles Shofroth, and sister Francis Jacqueline “Jackie” Rickert. His first wife, Donna Minor, preceded him in death. Their son, Dan Shofroth, Jr. lives in Glen Carbon with his wife Paula (White) Shofroth and granddaughter McKenna Miller. His wife Lori survives, along with her daughter, Ashton Woll and her husband Erik of Lewistown, Illinois. Dan enjoyed a lifelong career in industrial sales. He began working in Northwestern Indiana, and then founded Autumn Industrial in St. Louis. He finished his career with his son, Dan Jr., in Lafayette with Mid States Supply Company. Dan loved bowling, and will also be greatly missed on the golf course by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at his home in Lafayette from 4-7 on March 13, 2014.A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Collinsville, Illinois, from 4-8 on March 15, 2014, with a memorial service at 5:30 and dinner following.
