Cletis I Rayburn, 92, of Lafayette, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1919, in Camden, the daughter of the late Henry and Julia Hodges Crook. She graduated from Flora High School in 1938 and attended Indiana Business College.
In 1967 she married John E. Rayburn. He died on July 11, 2011.
Mrs. Raybury was a bookkeeper at Fauber Construction for over 15 years before retiring in 1981.
She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Shirley Buskirk of Lafayette and Betty Whitmer (husband: Henry) of Wabash.
Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 2 stepgrandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 stepgreat-grandchildren, 1 stepgreat-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Funkhouser; a sister, Geneva Clingenpeel; and a brother, Wayne Crook.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Rest Haven Memorial Park with Pastor James Chase officiating. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
